A Fax.Plus alternative for the occasional fax
Fax.Plus is an account based service: its free plan sends 10 pages in total, once, and its paid plans start at $6.99 a month for 200 pages with a fax number. FaxJet’s website needs no account and no plan: $2.99 for up to 10 pages to the US or Canada, from $3.99 to over 240 countries, and a fax that can’t be delivered is refunded in full.

What a year costs
Count your faxes to the US or Canada, up to 10 pages each. Twelve faxes a year cost $35.88 on FaxJet’s website; Fax.Plus Basic costs $83.99 a year paid yearly. At about 28 faxes a year the two meet, and above that the plan is cheaper.
Faxes of 11 to 30 pages cost $4.99 on FaxJet, which moves the line lower. Faxes abroad depend on the country on both: the international guide lists FaxJet’s price for each one.
When Fax.Plus is the better choice
If you fax three times a month or more, need a number that receives, send from Google Drive or other apps, or need a BAA, a Fax.Plus plan fits better.
When FaxJet is the better choice
If you fax a few times a year, an account and a plan are overhead. FaxJet asks for nothing but the document and the number, shows the price first, and refunds a fax that fails.
- No account to create or close.
- Up to 30 pages per fax, one price for 11 to 30 pages.
- A full refund, not a used credit, when a fax fails.
- Faxes to over 240 countries.
Questions
Is FaxJet cheaper than Fax.Plus?
For one or two faxes a month, yes: two faxes cost $5.98 on FaxJet, against $6.99 for a month of Fax.Plus Basic. From three faxes a month, Fax.Plus Basic costs less.
I used up Fax.Plus’s free pages. Now what?
Fax.Plus sells extra pages at $0.20 each or a monthly plan. On FaxJet you pay for the fax you are sending, with no account to keep.
Do I need an account?
Fax.Plus needs one to send. FaxJet’s website doesn’t: the fax is linked to your browser and its tracking link.
Does a failed fax cost money?
Fax.Plus’s help center says credit is used for failed calls that connected, because carriers charge for the time. FaxJet refunds a fax in full if it can’t be delivered after the redials.
Can I get a fax number?
Fax.Plus includes one from its Basic plan. FaxJet includes one in the iPhone app’s Pro plan; the website only sends.
Is FaxJet HIPAA compliant?
FaxJet makes no HIPAA claims. Fax.Plus offers a BAA on its Enterprise plan.
